11 Patriotic Cocktails To Serve On 4th of July

Hello my wonderful, majestic people!! Happy Wednesday. Hopefully you’re peacing out of work early today and already on ~vacation~ mode for the 4th of July! I was on Pinterest the other day and saw a picture of the most beautiful, 4th of July inspired cocktail, and it gave me the idea to gather some of the yummiest, prettiest, patriotic cocktails into a blog post for all you celebratory folks out there.

Here are some of my favorites that I’ve come across.

Red, White, and Boozy Margaritas

This frozen marg will definitely be a crowd favorite while celebrating on a hot summer day! (Also, any excuse to drink a margarita, I’m in.)

INGREDIENTS

3 c. ice
2 oz. silver tequila
1 oz. triple sec
2 oz. grenadine

3 c. ice
2 oz. silver tequila
1 oz. triple sec
2 oz. blue curaçao

1 oz. triple sec
2 oz. lime juice

Hurricane

This fruity, rum-filled cocktail is perfect to sip at an afternoon 4th party. (Just be sure not to spill on your white shorts, ladies.)

INGREDIENTS

2 oz. light rum
3 oz. dark rum
6 oz. passion fruit juice
6 oz. orange juice
2 tbsp. grenadine

Rocket Jell-O Shots

These fun, themed Jell-O shots will be a perfect party favor while chilling by the pool.

INGREDIENTS

FOR THE BLUE LAYER
1/2 c. water, boiled
box instant blueberry Jell-O
1/2 c. vodka 

FOR THE RED LAYER
1/2 c. water
box instant cherry Jell-O
1/2 c. vodka 

FOR THE WHITE LAYER
envelope gelatin
1 c. milk, divided
3 tbsp. granulated sugar
1/2 tsp. pure vanilla extract
1/2 c. vodka

Watermelon Sangria

Nothing says “summer cookout” like watermelon, right?

INGREDIENTS

4 c. cubed watermelon
750-ml. bottle moscato
1 c. rum

Juice of 4 limes

Zest of 2 limes

1 tbsp. sugar

Mermaid Lemonade

This drink reminds me of my good friend, Sarah, who had a mermaid themed 23rd birthday party a couple months ago. These would have been perfect to sip by her pool!

INGREDIENTS

2 c. ice
1/4 c. blue curaçao
1 c. white rum
2 c. lemonade
lemon slices
maraschino cherries

Cherry Bomb Mimosas

I can’t decide if I like this cocktail name better as a beverage or a lip color. Either way, this drink is perfect for those of you starting the celebration early. Sip on your cherry bomb mimosa and munch on a home-made muffin (one of my blogger pals just posted a recipe that looks AMAZING for blueberry muffins. See it here.)

INGREDIENTS

1 c. pineapple juice
1/4 c. maraschino cherry juice (from the jar of cherries)
bottle champagne
Orange slices, for garnish

Blueberry Coconut Sparkler

This might be the prettiest beverage on today’s list. The shaved coconut makes it look very fancy, perfectly complimenting the glass flute.

INGREDIENTS

3 cups fresh blueberries

3 Tbsp lemon juice

1/2 cup coconut rum

2 1/2 cups ginger ale

Ice

Coconut Flakes (optional garnish)

Strawberry Daiquiri

INGREDIENTS

4 oz. light rum
1/2 c. fresh strawberries
1/2 c. frozen strawberries
Juice of 1 lime
sliced lime, for garnish

Blue Summer Cocktail

For any of you celebrating the 4th on a boat, this is right up your alley. Although I think we could come up with a more creative name, the deep blue colors and the knot tooth picks are definitely giving me nautical vibes, perfect for any boat outing.

INGREDIENTS

2 oz. blue curacao

1/2 oz. coconut rum

3 oz. ginger ale

Tequila Cobbler

This is a great cocktail option if you love tequila, but aren’t feeling a margarita. Also, look how pretty!!!

INGREDIENTS

2 oz Ocho Plata Tequila

.75 oz Agave Syrup

1 strawberry sliced

6-8 blueberries or blackberries

Topo Chico

Sprig of Mint for garnish

Firework Pina Colada

INGREDIENTS

6 oz frozen strawberries

2 tbs white rum

2 cup crushed ice

1/2 c coconut cream

1/2 c Blue Curaçao

1/2 c crushed pineapple

1/4 c white rum

whipped cream or coconut cream, optional
