When it comes to effortlessly chic style, my girl Chloe Cook has it covered. Chloe is a fashion marketing student at SCAD, along with a dance minor. Her dance background shows through her fashion with grace and poise, while her fashion expertise gives her style a creative edge. Always coming up with simple ways to take her outfit to the next level, I decided to ask Chloe for some style advice. Here is what she shared with me:
- Go Bandanas.
“This trend is super versatile. You can wear it around you neck, wear it as a headband, wear it around your wrist, or strap it onto your bag. It’s a great way to add a pop of color to a classic white sweater and jean combo.”
2. Fashion-forward sneaker.
“Metallics are in this season, and pairing anything metallic with your outfit will give it a trendy edge. For the on-the-go gal, these slip-on platform sneakers are easy to wear day or night.”
3. Floral scrunchies for the win.
“To dress up your everyday pony, pair a fun scrunchie to add both color pop and texture to your look. The one I’m wearing today is in a cute, floral print, perfect for this upcoming Spring season.”
4. Sparkle and shine.
“Add a little sparkle and shine to a simple off-the-shoulder sweater. These dangle earrings are an elegant and easy way to complete any look that needs a little something extra.”
5. Layers on layers.
“Layering is one of the best ways to add sophistication and depth to your Winter wardrobe. In this outfit, I played with mixing velvet and knit, to give my look a creative flair.”
6. That bootie, doe.
“First off, booties are a great way to dress up your everyday look. To add a little bit of personal style, pair your favorite booties with a fun-patterned sock. This look can give your outfit more personality, which is definitely worth showing to the world.”
7. A meaningful staple.
“Personally, I like keeping one thing consistent in my wardrobe. This can mean anything to you, but for me, my rings are my beloved outfit staple. It’s comforting to know, even though my style and taste changes, these staple rings will always find their place.”
At the end of the day, as long as you feel confident in what you’re wearing, that’s what matters the most. Your personal style should stay true to who you are, without fearing self-expression.
Hope these tips and style tricks will give you some inspiration of your own.
Xoxo,
Reb and Chloe
